Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you finally made the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean more quality to the paintings, am i right?.
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

I'll be in London on the 24th, yep. So that's in two weeks already. Yoohoo. Brandy and I are organising a party on the 25th. Anybody who wants to come is invited haha. Check out her journal to know more about it. The theme is randomness. Yeah you read that right. Randomness. It means that you can come dressed as anything you want basically. Something absolutely random. If you are interested in ant way, please note journal.

Music
I have been re-discovering The Beatles recently and I have to say I had no clue I liked them that much. Makes me want to listen to all of their albums. I love listening to their music in the bus, when going to UNI, the weather is getting warmer here (even though it is snowing tonight) and it just feels great. Looking at the sun rising above the mountains, through the window and slowly waking up in the bus.
I also have discovered Johnny Cash a bit more and it really makes me want to listen to it more as well.

Photo
I've been going analogue recently. Put my D70s away for a while and used my Holga and the Nikon F-501 instead. I've been developing the film in a darkroom as well and hell it feels great. I could smell the chemicals on my hand the following day. I did that photoshoot I had to do, but some of them are SO overexposed. Sucks.
I have also noted that everytime I go out to take photos in the streets of Grenoble, there are at least 5 guys (yeah no girls obvioulsy) that ask me: "Hay wanna take a photo of me?" thinking "Hahaha I am so clever", when really it's not clever at all, and yes all the guys that stopped by before asked the exact same thing. I answered: "No I'm sorry, this is not digital but analogue and I don't want to waste a photo", sounds mean but at the same time it is true.

Food
I've been craving for all week. >_<

Valentine's Day...
sucks ass. Is it just here to remind you you're alone, one more time? Apart from commercial, what's the signification? To me, there is none. Oh well maybe it's just because I don't have a boyfriend. Meh.
